Observers are undoubtedly assessing if employment situation will improve as South Africa recovers from its recession. The unemployment rate stood at 25.2% in 2012 Q1, only fractionally short of its post-crisis peak of 25.3% in 2010 Q3. The lack of job creationdespite economic recovery is keeping high unemployment a major challenge in South Africa, especially among youth and new entrants.
